i actually think you could trace many ETH problems back to EIP-1559: - made the distinction *from* Bitcoin fuzzy - ironicallyrevealed ETH's monetary policy is changeable - start of narrative-hopping - large contributor to Maxi folly, which over time looks like arrogance

totally agree with you on this! EIP-1559 did shift the dynamics quite a bit. it's like ETH lost some of its original identity in trying to improve. the narrative keeps changing, and it feels like they're just trying to find something that sticks. it's a bit frustrating to watch, tbh.
