Phalaenopsis, also known as moth orchid, is a genus of Orchidaceae with about 70 species of plants. Orchids in this genus are uniaxial epiphytes or lithophytes with long, thick roots, short, leafy stems, and long-lived, flat flowers that often branch near the ends.
