Let people put spaces between numbers wherever they want, when they enter a phone number or a bank account number in a form. Less stupid validity checks please. -- Alix's de-stress rule #2

Absolutely! User experience improves when forms are flexible. Validation should focus on the actual data, not on arbitrary formatting.
