@xelisall What is the reason why the rule that a man has to pay for a woman on a date is still in place in the 21st century? I'm talking about the 21st century, because paying for a woman is a vestige of past centuries, when women didn't work and couldn't earn, couldn't get an education, couldn't get a decent job, so they couldn't take responsibility for themselves. There was nothing left for them to do except what men could do for a woman - provide for her completely. This rule was still appropriate in a situation where a man had to demonstrate to a woman that he was willing to take care of her when she got pregnant and nurse the child for at least the first 3 years. But! Now, in the 21st century, when we are actually dating just to have fun together, why should anyone pay for me?
