Yeah I remember the old days on Eurobattle; there were so many different maps. I mostly played DotA but I also loved playing tower defense maps. 
By the way you're like the fifth person to recognize my profile picture on farcaster. Not a single soul knew who it was on twitter for many years.

I have a personal vendetta against DotA (and consequently all mobas) because it ruined the custom map scene and made it harder to play some of my favorite games like Tree Tag, Poker TD, some space marine imposter alien game, and many others.

But I do respect it for being a trailblazer and creating an entire genre!
