Most people don’t have great relationships (friends, family, coworkers, etc). They haven’t felt what being witnessed, what being truly cared for, feels like. 

Judging people with “AI friends” often overlooks this point.

Criticizing these people assumes that they just need to get over themselves and make “real” friends. 

And if they can’t, then there’s an implicit assumption: m they don’t deserve friends. (But of course, none of the critics ever seem to make it this far in their rage bait)
