Artists, would you be willing to see just as many ads in the timeline here as there are on Twitter if it meant you could post video?

Lol My block list on twitter is nothing but promoted ads. The list is long. Lol Are we saying the biggest issue with video support is funding?

I can't say anything on behalf of the warpcast team although I can imagine the cost caching videos is a concern. I don't think they have a revenue model at all so I'm sure it would cut into the runway pretty heavily. 🀷

I'm just brainstorming solutions to ensure a client that integrates video doesn't operate at a loss

Another idea would be a client catered to artists specifically It has a pro tier or a reasonably priced membership subscription... Although I'm not sure artists are willing to subscribe to a typically free type of service

Idk what the answer is for sure. I think the solution may honestly be none of the steps and requires some sort of innovation. Like why does my stuff need to live anywhere but my device? That's where the true data originated. Every NFT is still a copy of the thing I posses

Because if the data isn't held on a caching server, it will take a very long time to load. Several minutes. IPFS without a paid pinning service like piΓ±ata is very unreliable. Just storing images on your phone you might as well snail mail the videos

Ok so the idea is that 1 place hosts everything and is always accessible. So the issue is the hosting service would need to be able to pull revenue from another source without doubling its need on resources? This feels like a use case for AI though I have no way of articulating how.

That's a lot of words and I'm not sure what they're saying tbh but the simple truth is that storage and bandwidth-use cost money and videos take up a lot of both. Need a way to cover the costs.

Its cool. I'm just thinking aloud on the topic you have brought to this morning's digital table. Maybe someone else will read it and get inspired idk tbh.

There's probably something to your AI thought though, like a system that prunes media from short-term storage based on engagement levels, etc. Not sure it would need to be AI per se but could save costs

Lol to traditional artists like me you basicly described God so... Lol. What I think I also mean is the infrastructure used as the hosting service. Could it also be used in some sort of parallel proccess. Like an AI call center for Wal-Mart
