Crypto is a speculative asset and we want it that way unless you actually want it to be priced at its commodity value, which would be much lower. Hoping for it to decouple from other speculative assets is something of a pipedream.

I think pitting either side, NATO or Russia, as the sole aggressor is generally the way of ignorance and produces the opposite of understanding. Russia's requests have been ignored and sniggered at by the international community for years. Dirty tricks abound on both sides.

Russia is a vassal state of China and has large swathes of the country administered by China. Russia does not want to be solely beholden to anyone. That's a strategically weak position because you have one centre of dependency.

What do you mean by thrive? It's an artists job to hone their craft and thrive as a producer. But that's no guarantee of recognition or recompense. Even then, you may die penniless, see Blake and Picasso. Would web3 have changed this?
