Data is from app magic which is like SEMrush but for apps, so it’s an estimate - their site claims +/-10% range. Another one you can use is sensor tower https://www.farcaster.network/ > there’s also this but looks like it’s stopped querying in August @dwr.eth to confirm accuracy?

The metrics of sensor power and SEM rush….. is it like in web2? Hence the data is mostly from people that unknowingly or not got spyware on their devices ? The web3 demographics are less prone to install the trackers those apps use.

Good write up on hacker news on how the data is estimated on sensor tower I don’t have access to AppsFlyer at the moment now to compare Apps Magic to true apps download, but SEMrush tends to be very incorrect in my experience and best used as a proxy to benchmark against multiple sites https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=21014423#:~:text=App%20Sto...-,I%20work%20on%20models%20like%20those%20of%20Sensor%20Tower%20and,where%20little%20data%20is%20available).
