But even then the mint fee is 13x the payment to you. I know GRND isn’t worth much, but 13M mint fee is gonna put the kibosh on sales and eat up the reimbursement. CC: @undrgrnd

This is what it costs to mint: 10M GRND to artist ($1.36) 13M GRND to Highlight ($1.77) 0.0022 ETH for gas ($4.93) Disappointed I’m spending $8.06 and only about 17% is going to the artist. That’s almost 3x a “free” Zora mint. Also worried the $5 gas fee is going to deter sales. CC: @undrgrnd

I believe the gas fees have "exploded" in recent days, unless I'm mistaken. Personally, I'm really happy to finally mint with GRND on highlight.xyz. Zora is more accessible initially but ultimately has quite a few shortcomings. (Just being able to finally visualize all the mints with GRND—wow!) As for the choice of listing with GRND, I found that opting for a "free mint" with a 50% share of the 13M GRND mint fee with to the artist seems currently more interesting (for artists & few GRND collectors). However, this is also a purely personal choice, considering that my open editions are becoming more like small limited editions for the moment.

Thanks, @wonow! I agree the free mint option seems best. Were you seeing high gas on free highlight mints as well? When I checked Pixel Gravy’s non-free mint again, the gas was a little lower and then way lower. Weird. Details: https://warpcast.com/tormential/0x96b09df5
