Iโm feeling so desperately behind here and imposter syndrome feelings are cropping up again. Parts of me wonder how I can call myself an artist while selling my soul to the corporate devil to survive?

There is no extra glory as an artist in starving or being homeless. You find a way to survive, you aren't selling your soul, your are keeping yourself alive. You make exceptional art, trust me, you are an artist. And remember that Da Vinci and Michelangelo basically did freelance for rich people & big corporations

well being poor and unemployed isnโt what makes me an artist so i donโt think working a job makes you not an artist ๐

1. Itโs so important to have sustainable income - you shouldnโt feel badly about that. 2. The imposter syndrome will only get the better of you if you let it. 3. The only way you wouldnโt be an artist is if you stop creating, and that would be a shame. IMO: Keep the job AND keep creating. ๐ซถ๐ป

you canโt be an artist if your dead, survival comes first. Be kind to yourself, and make art when you can. You do not have to make art 16 hours a day to be an artist

We all have to survive and there is no correct or noble way as long as you're not exploiting people while already rich af or to get rich af I like your work and your ideas you spread through it You are not alone for sure
