I like this but I also think much of the crypto community tends to ignore real world examples that already exist (as opposed to those that could)

I know plenty of Venezuelans and Argentines for whom using USD Stable Coins on Binance is practical survival

Overall this suggests the use for something like ENS is very strong. It mirrors the way Binance aliases are used for payments, as well as new payment systems like Mercado Pago

Something like ENS as alias for payments on Gnosis chain (or maybe a more modern L2 pegged to USD) would serve this market well and aren’t tied to a corporate network like Binance

This is not to say I like Binance (I don’t), but that there already exist many real world use cases in the “painkiller” as opposed to “vitamin/candy” category worth considering further among open source developers
