Yea - It is entertaining for the general curiosity of a broad range of scientific disciplines across history. I’d like to recommend “Sapiens” & the post facto companion “Homo Deus” if you’re looking for a human history focused presentation of society, culture & civilization developments past & into future.

Then “A Short History” could be a good option for you since it’s presented as storytelling interwoven with factual info.
