crypto needs a rebrand. The industry is widely seen as a get rich quick scheme, but it has the potential to be so much more—a better alternative to tradfi and banks. onboarding the masses through apps like Moonshot won’t work because it’s like onboarding people to a casino. When the casino runs dry and people lose money, they leave and never come back. we need a different approach. Start with the basics—safe strategies to succeed in the wild west— then gradually introduce the riskier aspects of crypto, like investing in memecoins. building a super app (think wechat, grab) is a great way to bundle the richness of crypto and abstract away its complexities. It’ll serve as a gateway into web3, coupled with great educational content. still, all of this is useless if crypto doesn’t interact seamlessly with the real world. I’m hopeful that with better regulations and increased confidence, we’ll see wider institutional adoption and finally open the floodgates.
