When using Optimism, transaction fees must still be paid in Ether. As a result, for the first transaction, when your asset will enter layer two from the Ethereum network, you still have to pay the high Ethereum network fee. But once your property enters tier two, the fees will be significantly reduced.

Exactly one of the important reasons for making the second layers is to reduce the total fees on ETH 🎭
