3. Blockchain:
A decentralized digital ledger that records all cryptocurrency transactions across a network of computers.

4. Consensus Algorithm:
A protocol used to achieve agreement on a single data value or a single state of the network among distributed processes or systems. Examples include Proof of Work (PoW) and Proof of Stake (PoS).

5. Decentralized Finance (DeFi):
Financial services and applications built on blockchain technology that operate without traditional intermediaries like banks.

6. Digital Wallet:
A software application or hardware device that stores private keys and allows users to send, receive, and manage their cryptocurrencies.

7. Fiat:
Traditional government-issued currency, such as the US Dollar (USD), Euro (EUR), or Yen (JPY).

8. Gas:
A unit that measures the amount of computational effort required to execute operations on the Ethereum blockchain. Fees are paid in Ether (ETH).

9. Hash:
A fixed-size alphanumeric string generated by a hash function from input data of arbitrary size. Used in blockchain for integrity and security.

10. Initial Coin Offering (ICO):
A fundraising method where new cryptocurrencies are sold to early investors in exchange for legal tender or other cryptocurrencies.

11. Oracles:
Services that provide external data to smart contracts on the blockchain, allowing them to interact with real-world events and information. Examples include Chainlink and Band Protocol.

12. Paper Wallet:
A physical document containing a cryptocurrency address and its corresponding private key, often represented as QR codes. Used for offline storage.

13. Portfolio Tracker:
A tool that helps users track the value of their cryptocurrency investments and monitor market trends. Examples CoinTracker.

14. Price Aggregator:
A platform that collects and displays cryptocurrency prices from various exchanges, providing users with average prices and market trends. Examples include CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko.

15. Private Key:
A secret key used to access and manage one’s cryptocurrency holdings. It must be kept secure and confidential.

Proof of Stake (PoS):
A consensus algorithm where validators are chosen based on the number of coins they hold and are willing to "stake" as collateral.

Proof of Work (PoW):
A consensus algorithm that requires miners to solve complex mathematical problems to validate transactions and create new blocks.

Public Key:
A cryptographic key that can be shared openly and is used to receive cryptocurrency. It works with the private key to secure transactions.

Satoshi:
The smallest unit of Bitcoin, equal to 0.00000001 BTC. Named after Bitcoin's creator, Satoshi Nakamoto.

Smart Contract:
A self-executing contract with the terms of the agreement directly written into code. It automatically enforces and executes the terms of the contract.

2. Altcoin:
Any cryptocurrency other than Bitcoin. Examples include Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), and Litecoin (LTC).
