I think you'll likely be prescient with this and genuinely admire your ability to hold the line, but I hate seeing a bunch of really smart infosec/crypto/etc folks setting up profiles on mastadon and not here. the experience here is a) sufficiently decentralized and b) much better!!

it isn't at the scale of twitter/facebook, but when we were growing Behance we dropped invite only pretty quickly, while our main competitors (dribbble) kept them. one day IRL I can tell you what I learned from that.
