Last week, we announced with a bang the acquisition of Le Motif’s publishing catalogue by Bolero, i.e. +400 tracks by 150 artists

So I wanted to tell you how fate brought us here... 🔃

To begin with the story, this catalogue is the most complete editorial catalogue of French rap, an asset with +57.7% growth over 1 year. 📈

I met Le Motif, Olivier’s first name, 4 years ago, when I had co-created a small side business of fabric masks.
Nothing industrial. Just colours and craftsmanship, made with taste and method. 😷

Olivier contacts us in DM on IG.
He needs two custom masks with logos for a shoot.
Due in 2 days.

- 17 February 2021 -
That’s Bolero’s registration date. A company I co-founded with Arthur Amon, driven by a simple mission: to democratise music as a popular investment vehicle to create a new income stream that preserves creative control for creators.

Le Motif x Bolero is signed. We’ve just written the most ambitious story anyone could have imagined.

I meet Olivier in Paris.
For a few weeks now, I’ve been thinking up a system that would enable private individuals to invest in music using technology.
I sit down at the café, we go over the world, I share my ideas with him and he gives me his vision. The feeling grew and we kept in touch. 🧠
