New research from the University of Pivaskila, Finland shows that the heart rate of dogs and their owners synchronizes in calm and stress-free moments. This harmony shows their emotional sharing. High heart rate changes indicate relaxation and recovery, while low heart rate changes indicate stimulation or stress, such as when you have an exam or do a certain sports activity. In this study, it was found that the change in heart rate of the dog owner is related to the change in heart rate of that dog and vice versa. This research reached the conclusion that the physical activity levels of the dog and its owner are also compatible.
