The same (I think). The problem, at least for me, starts when changing to a different pen (color or type) in same plot and you need absolute alignment (sub-mil). Without a trick like the above rarely I am able to achieve the calibration between colors.

Nope… I’m old 🤣. I use a variation of it, a calibration target and then move image in software by corresponding pixels.

ok, but can you get sub-mil precision with an ink drop and your vision? hmmm
