@dcinvestor Thanks for doing this. Do you worry about the art you’ve collected (ie, the jpgs) disappearing in the future in the event a file gets inadvertently moved or someone doesn’t pay their IPFS pinning fees? What do you think of efforts to introduce a protocol for token-bound files that would solve for that?

i think for art where we rely to pointers of actual jpegs, there are some concerns i also think a lot of beloved work will naturally be preserved by the community i think what artnome is doing with his project is cool, and i'd like to see more big players and marketplaces look at sustainable ways of doing this...

Didn’t want to shill in my og question, but we’ve built the @darkblock protocol to enable decentralized, token-bound media. Rather than NFTs pointing to files in walled gardens, darkblock encrypts & stores them in the open (Arweave). Embed an opensource Viewer on any site to let NFT owners decrypt/access the files.
