Have read a lot about the ACW, but not much specifically about Sumter. Larson’s books are narrative driven and often have a true crime angle. That the case here? What was going on at Sumter during the bombardment??

not true crime per se, but more a deep dive into what every single person was thinking, and the confusion many leaders were feeling, in this beginning period of the civil war
