Hi Qiao. We're building in the consumer segment (social-commerce) on Solana. We had a round 1 interview with Alliance back in October & we've come a good way in finding an early founder-product-market fit since. 

We recently applied to Alliance- What are your insights when it comes to the consumer segment on Solana?

An added note- The reason we're building on Solana is due to their strategic expansion to the e-commerce markets which aligns with what we're doing that we're leveraging.

Agreed. One thing we've noticed when interviewing customers is that a lot of them don't like downloading wallets at the get-go to use a web3 product. They see it as a "2-step process" just to use the end prodcut. We've taken that into account for our build.

The elephant is the room is that the average consumer is extremely sensitive to fees, latency, and (lack of) bridging.

So can’t go wrong with Solana for consumer products.
