A Swim in a Pond in the Rain lives up to the hype, but only if you’re someone who loves being with a great teacher, like your fav college professor. You’re along for the tour ride with them, so you have to surrender a bit, but it’s worth it and you’ll see that even the teacher doesn’t have it all figured out.

This is a great book. For me it was a perfect entry point to Russian short stories and contained some good lessons about writing. Surprisingly funny and light.
