IDK about Justin, but I see some choice here — with a bit of awareness, one can make the conscious choice to avoid "extractive forces" as much as possible.

Using the word "luxury" implies this is not available to everyone — perhaps it requires lots of money. Like many things, money would make this easier, but it's not completely unavailable anyone.
