Someone once pointed out that travel writing is an very generalist genre, with little expectations for content other than the writer is in a foreign country — you get to talk about culture (food, architecture, art, music, sports, politics, etc), philosophy, lifestyle, and of course travel (lodging, transport, financing, etc). 0 reply
