I had my sim “protected” by T-Mobile. The lost my pin but it was so too easy for me to get access to my account, I left. I’m so sorry that happened to you.

I honestly don’t want to say because I don’t feel like any of them are safe options. Just another major carrier. Google Fi sounds interesting tho. I haven’t looked into it

Understood, thx. I’m actually looking at switching banks because my current one won’t remove SMS as an account verification method - it’s always an option regardless of me setting up a different 2FA method
