The work was made with a variety of programs and implements, most notably a computer-assisted Jacquard loom (a woefully under-appreciated piece of early 19th century tech that allowed weavers to use punch cards to guide complex designs).

This piece is an excellent reminder that we've been using "generative" systems to "code" work for both aesthetic & efficiency reasons for far longer than is often acknowledged. Its incorporation of a drawing program designed for the Amiga (cutting edge in its day, retro to us) = icing on the cake. So glad to have this.
