Every year on the winter solstice as a family we celebrate the “Night of the Lights”.

We make Christmas snacks, decorate the inside of the car, make a thermos full of hot chocolate, and load up to spend the night driving around with no predetermined destination to see all the beautiful Christmas lights. It’s easily my favorite night of the year and Ember even said tonight that she’s more excited about this than Christmas itself. Definitely calling that a win 😄

It’s all about the memories made, being together, enjoying that childlike sense of wonder and remembering how incredibly blessed we are to have each other.
