If we get follow through on reflation of 1-2 major ETH NFT collections, I think psychology shifts, and ppl start feeling like "if [X] is going back up, it's worth bidding [Y], which is of at least the same caliber." The issue w/ collections from last cycle is that nothing is reflating in an uptrend. Cold start problem

fantasy.top is doing an airdrop to holders of multiple assets across several leading chains... This is a project on Blast. Snapshot was already taken (4/13). FROM POST: "For the first time, users across 7 ecosystems are eligible for the airdrop.

A large reason that memecoins thrive is that the SEC doesn't allow utility tokens to.

Keep an eye on Worldcoin, its associated app, and the World ID system. You'll be hearing a lot more about it in the months ahead. Worldcoin will integrate with ENS. Users can prove personhood but maintain privacy via pseudonyms, including simple mnemonics and names registered via ENS. From Worldcoin's site:

ENS is currently the most important identity protocol in all of crypto, not just Ethereum. The opponent in the battle for hearts and minds is time, and I'd like to do my small part in reaching prospective adopters before their sympathies are shaped by glib marketing, or outright bribery of competing protocols/products.

I'm testing out new ways of reaching and engaging the growing ENS community. There are over 2mm unique ENS addresses registered, across 800,000+ unique users today.

Keep in mind, only ~2mm .eth domains are registered vs ~400mm total registered domains, and web2 is not in the game yet.

Registrars may even become effective lobbyists for reducing reg costs of .eths in the future to drive volume. Not hard to envision these players naturally acting on incentives that already exist....

Use cases include redundancy of contact information, decentralized backup of content, and eventually zk services powered by ENS + .eth. What happens when gddy negotiates an affiliate markup (discount) with ens dao? $1 kept for $5 registration which is mostly passive and has massive upsell potential.

But it doesn't take much imagination to see someone like gddy creating a lucrative crypto services biz line. One where a dual web2/web3 approach is pitched and monetized via their sales & marketing teams. One where accompanying web3 domains ... .eth @ top of list are recommended to accompany an owner's web2 property.

This integration shows that GoDaddy will focus more and more on accompanying services while they try to defend acquisition/disposition margins as long as they can. They are still the first stop as a web2 registrar, and they can hold onto this positioning for a while.

Why would GoDaddy enable this ENS partnership? Obviously they have concerns about domains trading over disruptive, low friction, permissionless rails. Because most people don't want to manage their domains, just like they don't want to self custody crypto.

This will be a big deal. Send money and digital assets directly to web addresses vs web2 e-commerce workflows. It will streamline everything from tipping, to merchandise sales. It will also create demand for security products and services as web2 users and businesses are forced to confront traditional web3 attacks.

In case you missed it, GoDaddy has just added a crypto wallet tab to its domain management suite. What that means: any business, brand, or individual can now map a traditional dns domain to their crypto wallet. This is powered by ENS (Ethereum Name Service) following its gasless DNSSEC upgrade.
