Gifts will soon be convertible to NFTs in an upcoming Telegram update

Code found in the Telegram app for Android includes mentions of turning gift into unique collectible items, which users will be able to purchase using stars.

Collectible items will feature the following functions:
• Sending to other users within Telegram
• Selling for stars within the app.
• Transferring to external blockchain addresses for resale on NFT marketplaces (after a "unlocking" period)

Each item will have NFT attributes, such as:
• Unique number
• Model
• Background
• Symbol
• Provenance information (who and when it was gifted)
