Maryam Mirzakhani was an Iranian mathematician who became the first woman and first Iranian to win the Fields Medal.She was born in Tehran, studied at Sharif University of Technology and Harvard, and worked mainly in geometry. Unfortunately,she passed away in 2017 due to cancer,but her achievements continue to inspire.
