So as someone who’s working both on an open action and (soon) on a frame. Think of it like this. Every publication has actions (like, comment, recast) Open actions enable any arbitrary onchain action (any smart contract / protocol / chain / …) to be added to a Lens Publication. (Likes, comments, +++)

Frames on the other hand allow to embed any website / server action into the feed using an adapted version of Facebooks open graph standard afaik This allows you to embed any action that calls a server / api to enable mini apps, simple interactions that are web based. Furthermore they can use any F-ID using the frame
