i couldn't finish the previous one

i just couldn't

felt so repetitive and so not like the previous instalments :(

i never played the originals, but loved the previous one

The concept of visiting the same locations just in "parallel" universe and constantly backtracking to get back to the "switch" to the next universe exhausted me

the originals were like DIE DIE DIE and you just swept through the enemies (hoards of them) to progress

it's a slasher with a decent story

you literally felt like the god slayer on the path of revenge killing everything in your way, whereas here you're a grumpy old dad that wonders around and shouts BOYYYYYYY

also the originals were like you were a part of huge action and also a huge part of the huge action (like literal war in greece and you're turning the tide of battle)

here's the "epic" changed to family melodrama, to epic scale of a few individuals; yes you kinda save the world but you don't see the world
