gm, hooks-based react evm rpc api was a terrible mistake

instead of having easy-to-follow top-to-bottom left-to-right syntax we have something similar to try/catch we had with promises when your eyes constantly search for state variables

i don't "like" either, i like writing less code

sometimes declarative paradigm helps with this goal, sometimes imperative — and with contract calls it is obvious that hooks make you write more code

ser ethers exists and it was good until v6

wagmi needs to have similar api for contract calls, i.e. async functions, not just hook api

i like writing less code too - appreciate your opinion

if wagmi didn't exist, not only would folks be writing a lot of code, but they'd be writing the same code over and over again
