The big issue with social media platforms on Web3 rails is the algorithm. Web 2 social media apps have their own algorithms which invite, engage, and entice users to come back based on their interests. Alot of the SoFi stuff is either designed by engineers that miss the point about social media, or by business oriented VCs that intend to extract value from the creation of social webs even before the web is established. Nostr for example simply doesn't understand the connections normal user get from using a social media platform and Friend tech for example turned into a race to the bottom when users found vulnerabilities in the tokenomics flywheel algorithm.
