Why @farcaster? 1/ Today, for reasons only known to its lovely algorithm, X permanently suspended my account. Building a social presence today is much like building a business. Just as all startups using Twitter’s API were shut down back in the day, your corporate social graph can be taken from you at any moment, for no specific reason.

2/ What's more, I created an alt account just to access information, which I need for my market analyst job. An hour later, that account was banned too, effectively cutting me off from a crucial stream of information.

3/ At their core, social networks should be trustless and impartial. „The biggest issue and my biggest regret is that it (Twitter) became a company.” ~Jack Dorsey Despite having much smaller reach here, I feel far more comfortable building my profile because no one can censor me.

4/ This is the kind of thing you read about happening to someone else, never thinking it could happen to you. But after reading through forums, I’ve realized this affects thousands, if not more, real users - whether they're on the free or paid version of the app. Decentralized social graphs are the way forward, and with blockchain, we finally have a way to sustain their development and growth. Lock in - let’s take Farcaster to new heights! https://warpcast.com/cdixon.eth/0x928b137b
