Budae Jjigae.Korean War in the 1950s, U.S. troops were stationed in Korea, and Spam, sausages and other items supplied to the U.S. military bases started to leak out to the public. The original version of this dish was made by impoverished Koreans who mixed these leftovers with kimchi and stir-fried them in a pot lid.
