🧭Recalibrating 🌍Worldbuilding

For me, writing is an act that demands full attention—I can't write while multitasking. 

In this regard, writing is like a leash—it constraints my attention but also gives it a specific direction if used properly.

I therefore find that writing is a wonderful aid for learning. I internalise a subject better when I'm forced to write about it. 

As the literary critic Walter Benjamin has aptly written, “Speech conquers thought, but writing commands it.” To be able to think well, I firmly believe we need to learn how to write well.

To me, this describes the engagement of flow states 🌊 

Often adding limitations can enable full focus more than if we haphazardly attempt to write or think ✨
