Can be a bit slow to start but picks up and is an incredible story

Hilarious- it didn’t sound familiar but I looked it up and remembered I did read it years ago. I didn’t recognize the name but I remember kingkiller chronicle and

pillars of the earth is on my list to read this year! So that's encouraging, because i love the prose in name of the wind. 

I've read the century trilogy and loved it, have you read that one by ken follet?

Not so much no
Read a little of song of ice and fire
And the Fourth wing 
That’s about it 

I think I recall kingkiller reminding me a bit of Ken follets writing in pillars of the earth
