yeah it feels like there's just a layer missing from the current coin ecosystem imo. to actually convert content --> coins, there needs to be more... control?

what do you have in mind? what don’t you have control of with the current tools?

initial creator supply, fee split control, option to split fees with other wallets, ability to connect coins together (e.g., what people have been talking about with /higher) e.g., the default royalty for creators has typically been 10%. getting 1% supply and a portion of 1% fees feels low imo, because we're treating this like trading, not art/content. So I know lots of people have not minted any coins because they don't have control over how they would actually like to tokenize their content

Got it, yeah that makes sense. I agree that creators should be able to get ~10% of supply on launch automatically and fee split control. Splits can easily split fees with other wallets like @ripe did How would you envision the connect coins part work? I haven’t seen the convos around that

Cool! Glad we’re on the same page re the initial supply. I feel like that’s an element that has a lot of artists rattled, with Zora’s generally unilateral moves that have removed creator control Oh I thought ripe had to code in the split? It’s easy to do? I just remember Zora had a built in splits option before, so it felt odd it was removed Re the connect coins, the example with /higher is that if someone makes a higher meme, technically, they’re leveraging the IP of that brand, so if there’s remixed work around a project, there should be a way to optionally connect the individual to the collective. Why? Well, would depend on each project, each person, and their goals with boosting the individual and the collective
