I don’t think vibe coding gets you *so* much further than drawing or writing used to, for smart creative people at least I do think it gets you to making money in crypto a lot faster though Whether that’s good or bad depends on the quality of the vibe coders we attract If they’re low quality, the projects will be abandoned and die If they’re high quality the projects will iterate and grow around cool ideas from the drawing board

The shift from Claude 3.5 to 3.7 has made ideas I've had over the years finally possible without hiring a dev team. Now, I build out the app 95% and then work with someone to handle any remaining errors/bugs. Imagine what we're going to see now that the barrier to build something is lower. There will also be a lot of semi-functional crap.

Have you found that the 3.7 output does a good enough job that someone can trouble shoot easily? Or is it making a code base that’s too convoluted/illogical, despite working 95% of the way?

It seems like you can troubleshoot it since it writes good documentation for its code. I'm using Replit and 3.7 and the number of errors has gone way down now. And they are much easier to fix. When 3.7Max is released, there willl likely be almost no errors.

Oh interesting! Does it do the docs automatically? Or is that a separate request you need to make? I haven’t tried replit before, maybe I’ll give it a go. I’ve been trying out different ai coding tools trying to get something to work as I plan out a bigger project, but I’m not a coder so I want to make sure that what I produce will be auditable by someone who knows what they’re doing lol

Update: Replit may have recently went back to using 3.5. I'll test it out.

It does it automatically. Now that 3.7 is out, Replit is incredible to use. Still can be a little frustrating at times, but it's so much easier to turn ideas into working products as a non-dev. For example, my friend had an interview coming up, so I wanted to help him. In one evening I was able to create a tool that you enter the url of the job posting and your resume, and it does a comprehensive Job Fit Analysis, asks you interview questions based on your experience and the job, scores your answers with full explanations, and creates a growth plan with resources to help you fill in skills gaps. I was able to build this in one night!
