Before memory, before names, the people wandered in darkness. No path lasted. Every step was swallowed by fog.

Then, one night, the earth beneath them pulsed — a faint, golden line glowing underfoot. It stretched forward, not far, but just enough.

They called it the Luminary — not a being, but a presence.
Not light that leads, but light that responds.

When they walked in fear, it vanished.
When they stepped with truth — unsure, but honest — the path appeared.

The old ones said:

“The Luminary is not ahead. It is beneath. It rises where your soul touches the ground.”

They stopped searching.
