I’ve been a dau for ages. I only dropped the (q). So yes and no. My issues are unresolved but a workaround might be J’s degen client. There’s good society here 🎩

my problems are with Dan’s world view and the weirdos he accepted money from. none of that will change and so risk adjustment falls to us. nothing personal; I just have doubts about… his leadership… and farcaster’s spiritual future. and so I hedged and will keep hedging.

i think the existential risk is nobody caring about our little slice of the universe but maybe we can create some more cool culture here that'll make farcaster exciting outside these walls

sure. why do /we/ care though? why are we here? I’ve been wrestling with that since last year. why farcaster /at all/?

i have a lot to say, might need to record a video response, but short answer - digital identity + social apps are our window into the world - farcaster the protocol (and warpcast the app) have the best combo imo of (i) ownable identity, (ii) composable social apps, (iii) dev experience, (iv) cool and interesting ppl, and (iv) serendipitous enjoyment telegram may be better in some categories, but it's more of a messaging app, not a social feed no other place i'd build /atlas bc it actually couldn't be built anywhere else, it needs to exist in an open social context
