crypto users are not too different than locusts. 

without proper incentives, your product will get exploited; all value will be extracted until there’s nothing left and your user base will churn.

indeed. i think the takeaways there are:

1) incentive design must be added to your system before launch 

2) after launch, you're entire strategy should be focused on optimizing around the top 50 most successful channels/qDAU (powerusers)

3) after listening, optimizing, and retaining your top 50 users, the focus should shift wholeheartedly to discoverability, ie. creating a system that allows qDAU not in the top 50 to rise/grow

1) incentivize the pie, not the slice
2) listen to powerusers exclusively 
3) once they're happy, then shift optimizaiton to small but growing qDAU
