that was my worry but no, thankfully not. for exactly that reason; nerve damage is nasty hard to repair. dealing with that in my right elbow (rsi). I realize that I /am/ mostly my central nervous system but still. shit hurts sometimes.

Did you cut through the nerves? I did that once. Developed a neuroma. Finger still doesn't sense stuff properly, even after extensive physical therapy. (I suppose I should be happy that it no longer feels like I'm simultaneously being set on fire and electrocuted anymore.)
