Channel update: public mode is now live

- Public mode allows non-members to cast in the channel

- Member casts always appear in the channel feed; non-member casts will sometimes appear in the channel feed

- You can always make someone a member of your channel to guarantee they appear in the main feed

- Channel owners have the option to turn on / off public mode

/farcaster and /warpcast are now in public mode

So basically public is how things worked before?

Sort of. The wc algo will manage non-members, so they may or may not hit the feed. But members are guaranteed visibility. Before, the algo managed both.

Right ok. Wonder what decides if a non member cast pops up.

I'm not sure what the WC algorithm likes these days. Not since PB was deprecated.

It's algorithmic based on the cast. A lot of factors. Not worth stressing over this -- just add someone as a member if you want them to appear.
