I can tell you, as someone /at/ farcon... degen just /is/ part of the culture now.

tipping is how degen token distributes. it's one of the many, many things that makes the farcaster user experience fun. it's is also one of the many, many things that makes $DEGEN token valuable. but not the only or the most important.

The tips built a strong user base. 

Everyone that comes will realise the benefits of using FC going forward.

the culture will reform around the /reliability/ and /constancy/ of the DEGEN value faucet, whether airdrops of sustainable tipping.

alternative tipping tokens will bubble up and pop, but $DEGEN tipping will remain, perpetually, as a bedrock part of the 'caster experience.
