I still think it's funny that he uses YMCA considering it's a song about gay hookup culture, but I doubt him or his supporters understand that.

There's this long standing rumor that the most ardent Republican men are - at least more often than their liberal counterparts - closeted gay. And it's their self loathing that drives their weird policy choices and theatrical commitments to family and god. Grindr usage goes up when GOP is in town, after all. But they're well outside of accepting, mainstream gay culture and know jack shit about it. You're probably right.

Yea the RNC basically crashed Grindr. Closeted is the key word. Would be interesting to see studies on this, but I can imagine statistics in regards to things people don't want to admit to are going to be wildly inaccurate anyway.
