🇦🇪 Crypto payments may be banned in the UAE The UAE Central Bank has issued new rules that may prohibit the use of cryptocurrencies to pay for goods and services. The only exception is the world's stablecoins backed by the dirham (AED). At the moment, there is not a single cascading stablecoin pegged to AED in the UAE. Stablecoins declared in relation to foreign currencies will only be able to be used to purchase other virtual assets. The Central Bank will be able to impose fines for violations.🎭
